Diploma, Cap and Gown Information

Please complete the following information to request your cap and gown for the annual commencement ceremony.  

THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE APRIL 2017 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY IS FEBRUARY 10, 2017.  
After that date, any requests to participate must be reviewed both by the GV Bookstore and the Assistant Registrar. Please submit any questions to graduation@grandview.edu.

To participate inthe April 2017 commencement, you must be a December 2016 graduate or an April 2017 candidate for graduation.

If any classes will be completed in summer 2017 (including May term), you need to update your Completion Plan in Student Self Service to include all classes, ask your advisor to add a note in SSS, and email the Registrar’s Office to request permission to participate by February 10, 2017.

If you are unable to participate in the commencement ceremony, you will need to complete the Request to be Excused from Commencement form.

Certification
Attendance at the ceremonies is required unless excused by the Registrar. All requests must be submitted in writing prior to February 14.
